The Recovery Tribe

Food Freedom Fighters and Eating Disorder Recovery.

This week in clinic I've been normalising the post Christmas season with people and I wanted to do that with you too. So if Christmas led to you feeling your eating went off track I just wanted to pop into your inbox to let you know that this is ok!

Christmas can be such a tricky time to navigate, with all the different foods, different eating times and with different people too. So if this led to your eating disorder feeling stronger I want to let you know that can be normal. But I also want you to know that NOW is the time to get back on track. Back to eating regularly and back to your meal plan.

January can be a hard time of year (well I think so), which means its a time to really look after YOU. Lots of self care, lots of extra kindness and compassion. So I encourage you to look after you, whatever that means..

  • maybe it's cuddling up with a blanket and reading a good book.
  • or journalling your feelings.
  • maybe it is a craft regularly or playing an instrument
  • or booking a time in to talk to friends each week

I'm busy working on how best to support you lovely lot as a community right now, all thoughts and ideas welcome! I can only do so much (working mum of 6) but my heart is to do as much as I can!

Sending huge love to you,

Priya xxxx

Welcome to your top Nutrition News, Recipes and Tips. Example link Welcome 2024 seems to have started off with lots of misinformation and diet fads. I've started a new series on Instagram busting these fad diet myths. These fad diets are so harmful! It can be even harder when people who are medical doctors, have a PhD or have a biochemistry degree are pushing these. Remember though that a dietitian is the only legally protected nutrition professional. Anyone who is selling a cure-all pill or...

The Recovery Tribe Food Freedom Fighters and Eating Disorder Recovery. Community, it's a bit of a buzz word I know but it is also so very key. As humans beings we were not designed to be on our own in the good times and in the hard times. I have spoken to so many people in the last 2 weeks who have told me how isolated they feel. How no-one really seems to understand them and they just want connection. So I want to suggest that if that is you, you start looking to create community. I know it...
